1. Rajasthan Royals won the first ever edition of the IPL.

2. Rajasthan Royals' three-wicket win is their 13th victory in the competition - the most by any side.

3. Shane Warne became the first captain to have won 10 toss in the IPL.

4. Suresh Raina completed his 400 runs in the competition - 421 at an average of 38.27 in 16 games, including three fifties.

5. Mahendra Singh Dhoni also completed his 400 runs in the IPL.

6. Dhoni's aggregate of 414 runs at an average of 41.40 in 16 games is a record by any captain in a Twenty20 competition, bettering Virender Sehwag's aggregate of 406 at an average of 33.83 in 14 IPL games.

7. Amongst the batsmen with 200 runs or more for Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni's average of 41.40 is the best.

8. Parthiv Patel completed his 300 runs in the IPL - 302 runs at an average of 27.45.

9. Sohail Tanvir's tally of 22 wickets at 12.09 runs apiece in 11 games is a record by any bowler in a Twenty20 competition, bettering Nayan Doshi's tally of 21 at 11.57 runs apiece in 10 games for Surrey in Twenty20 Cup in 2006.

10. Yusuf Pathan (3/22) produced his best bowling performance in the IPL.

11. Yusuf became the second all-rounder after Shane Watson to post a fifty and claim three wickets in the same IPL game. Watson had made 52 and claimed 3 for 10 against Delhi at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on May 30.

12. Swapnil Asnodkar completed his 300 runs in the IPL - 311 at an average of 34.55.

13. Suresh Raina, with Asnodkar's catch, became the first fielder to take 10 catches in the IPL.

14. Yusuf Pathan completed his 400 runs in the IPL - 435 at an average of 31.07.

15. Yusuf got his fourth Man of the Match award, equalling Shane Watson's tally. Yusuf and Watson with four awards each share the second place behind Shaun Marsh (5).

16. Watson, with 472 runs (ave.47.20) and 17 wickets (ave.22.52) was deservingly adjudged the Man of the series.

17. Yusuf's tally of 25 sixes has been bettered only by Sanath Jayasuriya (31) and Shaun Marsh (26).
